A Welcome from Dr. Young

Having been in private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist for 22 years I am intimately familiar with the challenges that face the American family today. I also recognize that the most powerful response to the forces opposing the family is to be found in scripture. For many years I have been helping families apply Biblical understandings to their circumstances and have repeatedly seen dramatic results. I have often found that the principles and power available in God’s word are not understood well enough to be used. In other cases, I found families that have been confused by those who seek to discredit the writings of God in their preference for the theories of man. This confusion normally leads them to respond to their problems in a way that at best manages, rather then eliminates them.

In an attempt to help families apply the simple but powerful truths of scripture, I have prepared several different delivery systems.

• First, I am completing a book which will soon be available. The book is designed to help families live the difference that belongs to the follower’s of Christ.
• Secondly, I have launched a series of radio spots designed to help families succeed. These one minute messages strike at the heart of the issues confronting the contemporary family. They are designed to be hard-hitting and content rich. They are currently airing on radio station KWRD (FM 100.7), but are also available for replay on this website.
• Thirdly, I am offering several different conferences, designed to equip both Christian couples, and church leaders with important tools for facing today’s challenges with divine power. I intend to cast a vision based on scripture that shows families how vastly superior life can be when lived by divine design.
